PrimeThink Desktop

Your Live Apps, in one place.

Open the Desktop from the user menu and your group's Live Apps appear as icons in a windowed workspace. People open an app, not a chat, and the app runs in its own window.

What it is

A front door for the people who just want to use the app

Most of your team should not have to think in prompts. The Desktop gives them the finished tools your group has built, laid out the way they expect software to look.

  • Apps as icons. Each Live App shows with its own image, so a pipeline tracker and a meeting-actions tool are easy to tell apart.
  • Folders. Apps are grouped, starting with a Home folder.
  • Windows. An app opens in its own window that you can minimise, maximise or close.
  • New app. Add an app from your group's apps to a folder, with a short description of what each one does.
  • Group switcher. People who belong to several groups move between each group's apps without leaving the Desktop.

Adding apps

Start from the apps your group already has

New app lists the Live Apps available to your group, each with a plain description, so people add the tool they need without hunting for it.

  • Plain descriptions. For example, a CRM for accounts, contacts and pilots, or a tracker for meeting actions with owners and due dates.
  • One folder per purpose. Keep a team's apps together in their own folder.

Why teams use it

Built for adoption, not for demos

No change management

The apps people already trust are one click away. Nobody has to learn a new chat habit to use a tool that was built for their job.

The same apps you built

The Desktop shows the Live Apps your team created in PrimeThink. It is another way in, not a second copy to maintain.

Administrators stay in control

Access follows each app's permissions, and administrators can hide the Desktop entry from the user menu if a group does not want it.

Browser first

The Desktop entry appears in the browser. It does not appear inside the installed mobile apps.

Getting there

Three steps from the user menu

1

Open the user menu

In the browser, choose Desktop. It opens in a new tab.

2

Pick your group

Use the group switcher in the top bar if you belong to more than one.

3

Open an app

Double-click an icon. Use New app to add another from your group's apps.

Common questions

About the Desktop

Does the Desktop replace the chat?

No. Chats, tasks and agents work as before. The Desktop is a quieter way to reach the Live Apps your team has built.

Can administrators turn it off?

Yes. An administrator can hide the Desktop entry from the user menu for the group.

Can I use an app outside PrimeThink altogether?

Yes. Open the app's chat, open the Info panel in the side menu and choose Open as external app. From there your browser can install it as its own app. See App Runner.

See your own apps on the Desktop.
