Live Apps as real apps.
App Runner serves your Live Apps outside the PrimeThink interface: on their own address, installed on a desktop or home screen, or open to visitors who have no account.
Put the app where people already work
Open as external app
In the chat's Info panel, choose Open as external app to run a Live App on its own, in a new window, on the same data. Useful on a second screen, when showing it to someone, or for a long working session.
Install as its own app
Open an app as an external app, then install it from your browser so it sits on a desktop or home screen with its own icon and window. Two apps install as two apps, not one PrimeThink shortcut.
Share a public chat
Publish a chat and get a public address with a QR code. Visitors can talk to your assistant without an account, or you can embed it in your own website.
Run a task from a link
Send a link in an email, put it on an intranet button or a QR code, and whoever follows it lands in a fresh chat already running that task.
Each app is its own app
A Live App is served with its own identity, starting address and scope, so installing it does not collapse into one PrimeThink install. You install an app from its own chat.
- Start in the Info panel. Open the app's chat, open the Info panel in the side menu, and choose Open as external app. The app opens on its own address, and your browser can then install it.
- Its own icon. The app's image becomes the installed icon, so give each app one. A PNG of roughly 512 pixels on the short side works at every size.
- Stable identity. Renaming an app changes what the installed app is called without stranding or duplicating the install.
A front desk for people outside your group
A public chat is served by App Runner at its own address. Share the link or the QR code, or embed the live chat widget in a page on your own site.
- Shareable address and QR code shown right under the Make Public switch.
- Embeddable widget for a floating support chat on your website.
- Brand it with the page address. Colours are set through simple URL parameters, using ordinary CSS colour values.
- Off by default. A chat is public only when you switch it on. Visitors are answered with the owner's account, so decide who owns a public chat.
Public chats used to live under the main app's address. Links already shared are forwarded to the new address.
Separate runtime, one session model
Right group, first time
A direct link to an app opens it in the group it belongs to. When that cannot be determined, you are asked rather than guessed at.
Signing out signs out everywhere
Signing out of the main app also signs you out of an app running beside it.
Built the way you build
Apps can be a single HTML page or a compiled React and Vite project built with the PrimeThink CLI.
About App Runner
Is it a different product from Live Apps?
No. App Runner is how Live Apps and public chats are served outside the main interface. You build the app once and decide where it runs.
Is the data separate from PrimeThink?
No. An app opened on its own is the same app, backed by the same chat and the same data.
Who can see a public chat?
Anyone with the link, once you switch it on. Keep it off for anything internal.
Where do I start?
Open the Live App's Info panel and choose Open as external app to see what an installed copy will look like.
